Slaney Language Centre Christmas Newsletter
2012 has been an exciting year here at The Slaney Language Centre.
July and August were indeed two lively and cheerful months with language students of all ages and many nationalities.
This year many wwoofers have come to our language school to combine an English language course with working on an organic farm.
We have also had golfers, who combined their language course with their
favourite past time and Anita’s son Bradley, who is a keen golfer,
enjoyed a few rounds of golf with our language students.
We have put together a few images of life at the Slaney Language Centre
and also about our family courses. Have a look as you may spot a
photograph of yourself or your friend:
Whatelse is new in Wexford?
Sinead got married to Keith from Donegal just a few weeks ago and is now
enjoying family life by the sea in Rosslare. We had a ball at Sinead’s
wedding which was very cosmopolitan with guests from Ireland, Spain,
Austria, Japan, Korea, Venezuela, Palestine and Colombia.
After a long wait the new library in Wexford is open and was definately
worth waiting for! The beautiful new building with an incredible amount
of books, CDs and lots more, is located in the town centre just beside
Wexford Arts Centre. A must visit next time you are in Wexford.
And some of our language students crossed paths with Irish celebrities:
Anna and Tanja from Austria got their photograph taken with the Irish
Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Enda Kenny. And Marta from Spain is going to
be the interpreter for the Irish European Commissioner in Brussels next
And last but not least our fabulous 2013 Course guide
has just been launched. The guide includes information on old and new
courses available at The Slaney Language Centre, on Ireland, Wexford,
accommodation, photographs and much more.
As golfing is popular in Ireland, Wexford Golf Course is easily
accessible from the town and golf pro Liam is such a welcoming
gentleman, we are now offering an English and Golf Course for golfers of all ages and families who are into golf.
In winter you can now do an immersion course in your teacher’s home. These intensive language development courses will be tailor made to suit your lifestyle and work commitments.
Do you like Wexford but haven’t been here during the Festival? Go and book your flight and make sure that you will be here during the 2013 Wexford Festival Opera. You should really attend the language and culture course during the festival time which promises to be your best time in Wexford.
What are you waiting for? Book your course now!
We will be closed for winter holidays from Monday 17 December 2012 to
Friday 1 March 2013. The first course date in the new year is Monday 4
And here is a great deal: Language students who book the General
English Group Course Intensive for a minimum of eight weeks and start
their course in March, will receive an extra week for free!
We hope that you enjoyed reading our newsletter and that we will see you again in the near future.
