Lisa 1 Lisa Bartsch – Managing Director – Co Owner

B.A., PGCE in Education
Lisa Bartsch is the Managing Director of the school. Originally from Germany, Lisa worked for some years as a primary school teacher, and visited Ireland frequently in her free time. Eventually she decided to move here permanently and set up the Slaney Language Centre in 1999.
Lisa loves Ireland, its nature and its people.

 

 
Esteban Martinez – Development Director and Group Manager – Co OwnerB.A. Business Studies
Esteban lives in Madrid but Wexford is his second home. Same as Lisa he loves the Irish way of life.
Esteban’s hobbies include listining to music, reading, trekking and cooking. 
Emma Misiti - Director of Studies Emma Misiti – Director of Studies

B.A. (English, French), T.E.F.L., over 20  years experience in ELT.
Emma has many years of teaching experience in Ireland and France. She is bilingual (English and French) and also speaks a bit of Spanish, German and Italian.
Emma loves reading, rowing and cycling.

 Anna Murphy  

Anna Murphy – Administration, Accommodation Officer

Anna was born and grew up in Wexford. She went to college in Dublin and worked in America for a few years. She teaches a number of musical instruments including the fiddle, whistle, banjo and mandolin. Music is certainly one of Anna’s passions. Anna has a wide experience of different jobs in Sales, Marketing, Accommodation and Customer Relations. The other passions include her family, sports and generally having fun.

Susan Doyle Susan Doyle – Teacher

B.A. (Biochemistry), T.E.F.L., over 20 years of  experience in ELT.
Susan spent two years in Australia and five years in Japan, where she taught General English and Business English to all levels including preparing for exams. She is very interested in alternative therapies and has studies Aromatherapy and Shiatsu. She likes to paint in her free time and speaks a bit of Japanese.

  Kristina Arthurs – Teacher

B.Comm. (Financial Accounting and Auditing), Dip. Personnel Management, Dip. Modern Montessori Teaching, T.E.F.L., 5 years experience in ELT.
Kristina worked in the Corporate and Banking sectors. She has lived and worked in India. She has travelled to Australia, the Far East, Canada and America. she is bi-lingual (English and Hindi). Kristina loves reading, music and playing the piano.

Richard Carroll – Teacher

B.A. in English and Psychology, diploma in law, CELTA, 4 years experience in ELT. 
Richard has a writing background in radio and tv, and acted in several radio series for RTE. Richard likes hiking. He did the French Camino in 2015.

 

Tomas Hynes – Teacher

First Class Honours Degree in Humanities, M.A. In Writing, CELT, 3 years experience in ELT.
Tomas has been teaching English in Ireland and Italy. He has also worked in the electronics and I.T. industries.

He loves reading, writing, radio and keeping fit.

 

 

Greg Doyle – Teacher

B.A. E(nglish and History), CELTA, 7 years  experience in ELT.
A Wexford native, Greg has previously taught English in South Korea, Italy and Spain, specialising in Cambridge exam preparation.
He is also a keen fiction writer, long-distance runner and guitarist

Sarah Robinson

B.Ed., T.E.F.L., 5 years experience in ELT.
Sarah is particularly interested in ELT for younger learners. She speaks both English and Irish proficiently and also speaks some German and Spanish. Sarah has a keen interest in drama and theatre, and is an active member of a local musical society.

Jim ShannonBus DriverJim Shannon is not just a bus driver – he is a comedian, a tour guide, a romantic actor, a teller of tall tales, and an all-round entertainer. If you feel tired and gloomy early in the morning, then ten minutes in Jim’s company on the bus to the Slaney Language Centre will raise your spirits. He knows all the interesting places and all their secret stories. If you want to meet an authentic Irish charmer, then Jim is your man.
