|Lisa Bartsch – Managing DirectorB.A., PGCE in Education Lisa Bartsch is the Managing Director and owner of the school. Originally from Germany, Lisa worked for some years as a primary school teacher, and visited Ireland frequently in her free time. Eventually she decided to move here permanently and set up the Slaney Language Centre in 1999.
Lisa loves Ireland, its nature and its people.
|Emma Misiti – Director of Studies
B.A. (English, French), T.E.F.L., 16 years of teaching experience. Emma has many years of teaching experience in Ireland and France. She is bilingual (English and French) and also speaks a bit of Spanish, German and Italian.
Emma loves reading, rowing and cycling.
|Anna Murphy – Administration, Accommodation Officer
Anna was born and grew up in Wexford. She went to college in Dublin and worked in America for a few years. She teaches a number of musical instruments including the fiddle, whistle, banjo and mandolin. Music is certainly one of Anna’s passions. Anna has a wide experience of different jobs in Sales, Marketing, Accommodation and Customer Relations. The other passions include her family, sports and generally having fun.
|Susan Doyle – Teacher
B.A. (Biochemistry), T.E.F.L., 22 years of teaching experience. Susan spent two years in Australia and five years in Japan, where she taught General English and Business English to all levels including preparing for exams. She is very interested in alternative therapies and has studies Aromatherapy and Shiatsu. She likes to paint in her free time and speaks a bit of Japanese.
|Kristina Arthurs – Teacher B.Comm. (Financial Accounting and Auditing), Dip. Personnel Management, Dip. Modern Montessori Teaching, T.E.F.L., 2 years of teaching experience. Kristina worked in the Corporate and Banking sectors. She has lived and worked in India. She has travelled to Australia, the Far East, Canada and America. she is bi-lingual (English and Hindi). Kristina loves reading, music and playing the piano.|
|Sinead Power – Teacher B.A. (History, Gaelic, Music, Heritage Studies), M.A. (Local Oral History), T.E.F.L., 12 years of teaching experience. Sinead has a wide experience of teaching in Irish secondary schools, in Gaelic Language summer schools and EFL schools. She loves Irish culture, heritage and Celtic studies, and is fluent in Gaelic, the native language of Ireland. She also loves music and sings and plays guitar.|
Sarah O’Reilly – Teacher
Sarah travelled round the world in 2007/2008. She loves meeting people and experiencing different cultures.
Ann Kenny – Teacher
Ann is a primary school teacher and loves children. She teaches our youngest language students.
